Timothy and the Dragon's Gate

This book is about a boy named Timothy Freshwater who was just expelled from the last school in the city. He went to work with his dad and found out that the boss was hiding something. His boss had a key that allowed him to be in charge of a man named Mr.Shen. Mr.Shen is a dragon in human shape. He was being punished. That year Mr.Shen had to go under the Dragons Gate or he will be stuck in human form forever.

My favorite part is when Timothy was going to China on the Ironic Gentleman, a ship.

Another part I like is when Mr.Shen turned into a dragon again.

My favorite character is Alex from the Ironic Gentleman. I like her because she is a great sword fighter, and she is very helpful and smart.

I give this book :) :) :) :) (4 out of 5 happy faces). I recommend this book for people who are adventurous and good at helping people who need it.

  1. I haven't ever heard of a story with a dragon in the form of a human, though I've heard of humans stuck in the form of monsters. Interesting! And I love the name of the ship, Ironic Gentleman.

  5. Hey, so, author of the book here - I got google alerted to this post and decided to pop on by. Just wanted to thank you, Sophia, so much for the lovely review and wanted to add that one of my favourite parts to write was the bit where Mr. Shen turns into a dragon, so I'm so glad you liked reading it!

Also, the first book in the series is all about Alex. I'm not sure if you've read it, but seeing as you said she was your favourite character I thought I should mention it. The book's called ALEX AND THE IRONIC GENTLEMAN.

Once more, thanks again so much for the review and kind words.

    best,
    Adrienne
